Welcome to your comprehensive travel guide on everything Vueling. Whether you are jetting off for a weekend city break or embarking on a longer adventure, knowing the ins and outs of Vueling’s baggage allowance is key to a smooth and hassle-free journey. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about Vueling’s luggage allowance and share the perfect Tripp suitcases and bags to accompany you on your travels. So, let's set off!

Introducing Vueling: Affordable Travel Across Europe & Beyond

Vueling is a leading low-cost airline based in Spain, and is known for its extensive network across Europe and beyond. Founded in 2004, Vueling quickly grew to become one of the largest airlines in Spain, offering affordable flights to over 130 destinations. The airline is particularly popular with budget-conscious travellers looking for flexibility and a wide range of routes.

With Vueling, you can enjoy a variety of fare options, allowing you to tailor your travel experience to your needs, including choosing the baggage allowance that suits your trip.

Packing Light: Vueling’s Rules For Cabin Baggage

Vueling let’s all passengers bring one small cabin bag measuring up to 40x20x30cm, and which must fit comfortably under the seat in front of you.

Travellers flying with Fly or Fly Grande bundles, along with premium customers, can also bring a larger cabin bag in addition to the free underseat one. This luggage has a maximum weight of 10kg, and can measure up to 55x40x20cm. This case is to be stored in the overhead compartment.

Tripp’s Recommendation:

For your underseat luggage, our Style Lite flight bags are the ideal option, and fit comfortably over your suitcase handle to save your shoulder.

For your larger case, our new Holiday 8 cabin suitcase is perfect for storing overhead and comes with a combination TSA lock, 4 dual wheels, and an internal divider.

You can also add more hold luggage for an additional cost, ranging from 15kg to 30kg. Our top tip is to make sure you do this online before arriving at the airport, as it costs up to 50% less!

Vueling’s Special Baggage Rules: Handling Sports Gear, Instruments & More

If you're traveling with special items like sports equipment or musical instruments, Vueling allows you to bring them along, but these items must be declared in advance and will incur additional fees. There is a maximum weight limit of 32kg, and items can measure up to 2.70m. Its important any special luggage is correctly packed, labelled and is well-protected for a safe and smooth journey.

Avoid Extra Fees: Understanding Vueling’s Excess Baggage Charges

It's essential to stick to the baggage weight limits, as exceeding them can lead to additional charges. If your checked bag surpasses the weight limit, Vueling charges €12 per additional kilogram, so be sure to pack wisely!

Packing Tip: Consider using packing cubes to organise your belongings and help keep track of your luggage weight, ensuring you stay within the limits.
