"I bought these cases to replace some older tripp cases we had, as I've always found the brand to provide affordable and quality products. After comparing the cases to other brands, the reviews were very good, along with Good House Keeping recommended, and I'm so pleased that I got these. As they were part of a present, I did consider significantly more expensive brands, though on reflection, I'm not sure what more these would offer more than the Tripp cases do.
Three weeks of travelling around South America and they did get the expected scuffs but held up very well and much better than our previous soft shell versions. No significant damage and still look great. Some people mentioned that they are not a really hard material - though this does mean any dents can often be 'popped out' again if this happens (once on our trip).
I personally love the teal colour and made spotting them on the baggage claim belts simple. They are very well made and expanded to fit everything we needed for three weeks of varying climates.
I would highly recommend them."

"I bought this case because I previously bought a Trip one 5 years ago. My previous case lasted well and I passed it on to my son who needed one quickly. So I didn’t want to buy any other brand. "I needed to buy suitcases for my holiday to 3 Italian cities infamous for their poor pavements which present a danger to all suitcases. Despite looking at more expensive brands, I settled on two Tripp suitcases. I am happy to say that both suitcases made it home completely in-tact and ably managed the uneven payments, the cobbles and the bridges of Venice, Florence and Rome.

"Feels a bit more flimsy than I was expecting from the photos (it looks to be a 'hard' shell but, unlike my previously Holiday 6 luggage bought in 2013, this plastic case will actually bow inwards if you apply any pressure to it...) It also lacks many of the previous thoughtful features, such as a double zippered flap compartment (for easy access from either side of the suitcase without all your things falling out) & sadly no more flap pouch between the two halves of the suitcase (was very useful for smaller belongings, such as jewellery).
It has survived 2 international flights so far without any denting or puncture wounds though, & the outer zippers are decent, so I'll rate it 4 stars instead of 3 for now then :)"

"TSA lock instructions contains a sticker with white typeface on a yellow background and due to the lack of contrast it is illegible. Tripp said that TSA is a different company and that they issue their tags for their lock. Tripp provided me with the wording on their sticker. But I think bad of Tripp for passively issuing an illegible sticker with their product."
